Back Stage:

My backstage experience includes:

5 years and counting- runner and production assistant, employed by the foremost event promoters, facilities and entertainers producing the Twin Cities finest concerts and events, including the 2008 Rebublican Convention.

5 years- show coordinator for Total Music Services. Technical support/analysis, advance details, bids, account management and show logistics.

I have a good understanding of the daily tour operations and have experience with technical rider advance, production office and venue operations, transportation/cartage coordination and artist/crew hospitality. I have additional experience in musical equipment retail and talent booking. References are available on request.

On the Stage:

My technical experience includes:

5 years full time employment as a backline technician and show coordinator for Total Music Services, St. Paul, MN, the upper Midwest’s largest provider of backline services.

2 years- assistant audio tech for medium sized high fidelity sound company.

20 plus years and counting- working musician (1500+ gigs).

I have an excellent overall knowledge base of setting, sound checking and trouble shooting all lines, instruments, rigs and monitors on stage. I am very comfortable with signal flow, advanced routing, patching and amplification methods and can resolve detailed “tonal” issues. I can perform guitar and bass adjustments, maintenance, tuning and basic repairs (jacks, cable, tubes, etc). I have a working knowledge of stage patch/mic placement, drums and hardware, midi/vintage keyboards, DJ rigs and digital recording. I have also worked with multi channel wireless and in-ear technologies.
