IGGY VAN WHO
Consistings of members Michael O'brien bass, Mark O'day on drums, Chris Micek on guitar and Jeff on Tenor and Alto sax, this band played an interesting variety of music, including Jazz standard and reworked versions of many classic tunes. THE JEFF KING QUINTET
Formed in 1994, this group featured a fantastic lineup of some of the areas finest musicians including Chris Lomheim {piano}, Jim Chenoweth {bass}, Phil Holm {trumpet}, and Pat Hulme {drums}. The group has performed at the "Dakota Bar and Grill", (Twin Cities premier jazz venue), and other local engagements. Playing creative original compositions as well as bop and traditional standards, this group has been received extremely well by audiences, and has been featured on two "Cookin at the Dakota" radio programs on KEBM {88.5 FM}. During this time Jeff and pianist Chris Lomheim's were also featured duet performers at the Dakota and other local venues.
THE TWIN CITIES JAZZ SOCIETY
The TCJS featured Jeff's "West Coast Jazz Tribute" as their opening concert of the 1994 "J to Z"concert series. This was a well publicized, highly received event offering a historical look at the "cool" west coast jazz scene of the 1950's.
